About Our Collections

Archives & Special Collections content is ideal for use in teaching, learning and research. For further details about our collections please visit the Archives & Special Collections home page.

Content is regularly used in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching modules, and by scholars the world over, who are welcome to visit the Archives & Special Collections in person to consult collections.

A growing body of digital content is available online to the public through the Archives' Serving Soldier portal but hands-on visits are encouraged to visitors to experience 'living history' by getting up close to real books and documents. Collections are used in College-wide initiatives including Cultural King's and the redevelopment of the East Wing of Somerset House.

Detailed online catalogues, the AIM25 portal and a growing range of online research guides enable users to quickly identify material useful for their studies.

Visit regularly for updates and new exhibitions and displays, or please contact the Archives team at archives@kcl.ac.uk or Special Collections at specialcollections@kcl.ac.uk for further information.
