Sports Law at King's College London
Football at Guy's Hospital
The ethical dimension to sport is also explored by King's College through the
popular interdisciplinary postgraduate certificate in sports law, run by the
Sports Law Centre.
Established by the School of Law in 1996, the Centre now enjoys a distinguished reputation in its field.
The course examines government sponsorship of sport, its commercial exploitation and explores the legal problems faced by individual athletes with regard to drug doping and regulation.
The international dimension of sport is also reflected in the comparison of European and American systems of law while sponsorship, merchandising, player contracts and the legal consequences of injury are all studied in detail.
